One-to-one help with your Mac, iPad and iPhone — at your pace.

Apple Training & Tutoring in Tallahassee, FL

There is no such thing as a stupid question about a device you were handed with no instructions. We teach Macs, iPads and iPhones one-to-one, in plain language, as slowly as you want — and we have been doing it for Tallahassee families and offices since 2003.

The problem

Things people are quietly frustrated by

None of these are your fault. All of them are a short session away from being fixed.

  • You use about a tenth of what the device does and are not sure what the rest is for.
  • Your photos are somewhere, possibly in iCloud, possibly not, and you daren’t delete anything.
  • “Storage full” appears constantly and the suggestions do not make sense.
  • You want to video-call the grandchildren without someone else having to set it up.
  • You are not confident about what is backed up, or whether it would come back.
  • The children need limits on their iPad and the settings screen is baffling.

The solution

How a session runs

Your device, your questions, your pace — and no jargon unless you want it.

  1. 01

    You set the agenda

Bring a list, however basic. We would far rather spend an hour on the five things you actually do every day than a tour of features you will never use.

  2. 02

    Hands on your own device

You do it, not us. People remember the thing they did themselves and forget the thing they watched.

  3. 03

We tidy up while we teach

Storage, iCloud, backups and the notifications that have been bothering you get sorted out as we go.

  4. 04

    You leave with notes

Written steps for the things you asked about, so the session is still useful next month.

What you get

Why people choose us for this

  • Genuinely patient

Greg once stopped by a school every morning for months to help one overwhelmed tech coordinator. That is the temperament.

  • One-to-one, not a class

The whole hour is about your device and your questions.

  • At home if that is easier

On-site at $165 an hour, which makes sense when the printer, the TV and the wifi are all part of the problem.

  • Good for a nervous beginner

Retirees, career-changers and anyone handed a device without instructions. No one gets made to feel slow.

  • Family and parental setup

Screen Time, parental controls and family sharing configured so they actually hold.

  • The same people fix it if it breaks

Training, repair and consulting are one shop, so you always know who to call.

In their words

I was the media specialist at a local elementary school when assigned the additional duty of tech coordinator. I was overwhelmed with tech questions and problems when in walked Greg, who offered his help. He subsequently stopped by every morning for months and spent time with me every day, volunteering his knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting our system with over 100 iMacs in operation. Greg and Laura are caring professionals committed to outstanding service. They are always courteous and eager to help while providing fast service.

Questions

Apple Training & Tutoring — frequently asked

How much does Apple training cost?

Training is billed at the standard rates: $110 an hour in shop or remote, $165 an hour if we come to your home or office. Most people find one focused hour covers a great deal.

Is this suitable for a complete beginner or an older learner?

Very much so. A good deal of our training work is with people who were handed a device with no instructions. We go at whatever pace suits you and nobody is made to feel slow for asking twice.

Can you come to my house?

Yes. On-site training is $165 an hour and is often the better choice, because we can also sort out the wifi, the printer and the devices that are supposed to be talking to each other.

Can you set up parental controls for my children’s devices?

Yes — Screen Time, content limits, app limits and family sharing, configured so they hold up, plus a walkthrough so you can adjust them yourself later.

Do you train staff at businesses and schools?

We do. Group and individual sessions for offices, practices and schools, on-site across Tallahassee, North Florida and Southwest Georgia.
