Pricing

What it costs

Our rates are published because you should not have to ask twice. They are the same for everyone, whether it is a laptop or a building full of them.

  • Diagnostics

    $55prepaid at check-in

    Covers a full diagnostic and a written report back to you. The $55 is credited toward the repair if you decide to go ahead.

  • In-shop & remote support

    $110per hour

    Applies after diagnostics or during a consultation. This is usually the minimum charge — we tell you before you go past it.

  • On-site support

    $165per hour

    We come to your home, office, school or campus. Additional charges may apply outside Tallahassee — call the office for details.

The $55 diagnostic is credited toward your repair. Parts are always quoted before any work starts.

Apple Consulting & Diagnostics — frequently asked

What does an Apple consultation cost?

Consultation time is billed at $110 an hour for in-shop and remote sessions, or $165 an hour on-site. If the question needs hardware evidence, the $55 diagnostic comes first and is credited toward any repair you go ahead with.

Can you tell me whether my Mac is worth repairing?

That is one of the most common reasons people call us. After the diagnostic we give you the repair cost, what the machine is realistically worth, and how much life the repair buys. If the numbers say replace, we say replace.

Will you help me choose which Mac to buy?

Yes, and we have no incentive to push you up a tier. We will also tell you when a refurbished machine from our own shelves would do the same job for less.

Do you do remote consultations?

Yes. Remote support is billed at the same $110 hourly rate as in-shop work, and for a great many questions it is the fastest route to an answer.

Do you work with businesses and schools as well as individuals?

We work with home consumers, small business, enterprise and education. Institutional clients across Tallahassee have used us for well over a decade.
