Send us the details

The more you can tell us here, the better the answer you get back. Fields marked * are required.

Optional, but it is usually the fastest way to sort things out.

e.g. 2019 MacBook Pro, or “an iMac, not sure how old”.

Describe it however you would to a friend. “Makes a clicking noise and won’t start” is a perfectly good description.

Or call 850-894-3622

We use what you send only to answer your enquiry. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

What happens next

No black box, no ticket number

  1. 01

We read it, a person does

Messages go to the shop, not a queue in another state. During business hours you will usually hear back the same working day.

  2. 02

    We ask the obvious questions

Model, age, what it was doing when it went wrong, and whether anything is backed up. Often that is enough to tell you what is coming.

  3. 03

    You get an honest steer

Sometimes that is “bring it in”. Sometimes it is “that one is not worth fixing”. We would rather say so before you have driven over.

  4. 04

    Then we book you in

Drop it off, we come to you, or we sort it remotely — whichever costs you the least time.

Before you bring it in

Five things that speed everything up

None of these are dealbreakers — bring the Mac either way. But each one saves you time and, usually, money.

  • Your charger or power adapter — we need to test with it
  • Your Mac’s login password, and your Apple ID if you know it
  • A backup, if you have one and it is current
  • The external drive or accessory involved, if the fault only happens with it
  • Any error message, written down or photographed on your phone

If you think the drive is failing — clicking, grinding, or a question-mark folder at startup — shut it down and leave it off until you speak to us. Continued use is the most common reason recoverable data becomes unrecoverable.

Questions

Before you call

Do I need an appointment?

No — walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm at 230 John Knox Road #4. Calling 850-894-3622 first is still worth it, because we can tell you what to bring and whether the trip is necessary at all.

How quickly will you get back to me?

Messages sent during business hours are normally answered the same working day. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, so weekend enquiries are picked up on Monday morning. If it is urgent, please call rather than email.

Do you come out to homes and offices?

Yes. On-site visits are $165 an hour anywhere in Tallahassee, and we travel across North Florida and Southwest Georgia — additional charges may apply outside Tallahassee, so call the office for specifics.

Can you help me remotely?

Often, yes. Remote support is billed at the same $110 hourly rate as in-shop work and, for software problems, settings and training, it is usually the fastest route to a fix.

Where exactly are you?

Mac and More Systems, 230 John Knox Road #4, Tallahassee, Florida 32303 — just off North Monroe Street, with parking outside.

Next step

Still easier to just phone?

We think so too. 850-894-3622, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Ask for Laura, Greg or Michael.
